About this season: In lieu of live performances, Harrisburg Opera Association presented a virtual season by combining Opera in the Park – our free educational outreach concert – with our mainstage program where students earn credit for participation with our production. The video presentation premiered on HOA’s YouTube channel on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at 7:30 PM.

About Birding for a Better World: This presentation tells an original story regarding an ornithologist who believes birding can save the world, his colleagues who organize his movement and one newcomer who is inspired to bring this message to young people. Bird related music features styles including popular works from opera, operetta, musical theater, jazz, rap and folk music as well as featuring two original works. As with 2020's video presentation, we are combining our outreach concert with the educational programs attached to our main stage production geared toward benefiting high school and college students that participate in our event. The video is now in permanent reruns on our channel.
